The torch has an UV intensity of 12,000 µw/cm² at a distance of 38 cm (15 inches and) and no more than approx 1 Lux. Models best suited for Arson Investigation work where accelerants are to be detected under long wave UV. 365nm wavelength typically recommended, but investigators are having great success with 385nm models accelerant detection, gasoline, diesel, and kerosene.
